What size clients does Keeping it Human (KIH) work with?
We work with clients of different sizes. Our “sweet” spot are mid-market clients – organizations that have been around for a while and spend fairly regularly on marketing. However, we support small organizations and start-ups all the way up to really large companies. Like our clients, we look for a great “fit.” That’s what’s most important for us. Not size or industry. Attitude, need and work-style are important.
Can KIH act as our Outsourced Marketing Arm?
Yes! We have operated as the outsourced Marketing Department for a number of clients. Whether you need 5 hours or 25 hours per week of support, we can scale to your strategy and communications needs.
How does KIH fit with our existing marketing efforts?
That depends on what you need and how you like to work. Some clients use a retainer basis for overload work or ongoing marketing communications needs. Others are in start-up mode and bring us in at the very beginning as they are building out their marketing plans and departments (from the ground up!). We help them identify their core stories, polish them up, and create a content plan that supports an ongoing storytelling strategy with their customers and the media. Some companies find that our story expertise is a nice complement to their existing media channels expertise. At that point, we help them refine their story content and / or provide workshops that support their staff.
In other cases, we can be a “fresh set of eyes” for even the largest, most experienced organizations. Every now and then, we help our large clients see things in a new way and freshen up existing strategies.

Does Keeping it Human have strategic partners?
Absolutely! We have relationships with public relations firms, Search Engine Optimization (SEO) specialists, marketing analytics firms, customer experience management experts, sales management and presentation experts, social media strategy folks, and even strategic finance and accounting partners as you grow your business with your marketing. We can manage your relationships so you only need to partner with one vendor, or we can bring in partners directly to work with you. It all depends on *your* needs.

How Does KIH Price?
We knew you’d ask that great question! A number of our clients work on retainer because they have ongoing needs. Others work on a project or hourly basis because their needs are less frequent and more project-oriented. We work with a number of pricing models.
What are your services?
You can see more detail on the services pages. In a nutshell, we have expertise in story creation, marketing communications, social media (including video!), market research, marketing strategy, and in content development (whether it’s for external or internal marketing such as executive speeches and presentations). That also includes workshops and facilitation. For example, one of our specialties is working with product and product marketing folks to help them shake-up their brainstorming, and see new possibilities. We also offer fun, interactive “human” talks on a number of marketing topics. What makes us different? We’re human, fresh, insightful, and FUN! What we’re famous for is no-BS, no marketing-speak, or jargon-laden content. Who doesn’t want that?! People who love jargon – and that’s our competition, not us!
