Tips on Scaling the Human Factor Through Employee Advocacy

1. Scale people outside of marketing and PR. The best storytellers are often those closest to the customer. Let them tell stories their way. Give them guidelines; yet, don’t overload them with process and restrictions.

2. Scale training outside of marketing and PR. Identify trainers that are subject matter experts with social business experience for the brand to help train and mentor employees who want to engage on social. Train the trainers is the most important thing marketing can do – empower and let go with the proper policies.

3. Break down content silos. Great content lives everywhere and anywhere. Encourage a culture of storytelling and engagement outside of marketing and PR.
